And, trust the creative magic within.
With everything that is happening in the world right now and with most individuals obeying the lockdown regulations. It is not hard to feel that the energy around us and even inside us, has shifted. Even for someone like me who is introverted, and, to be fair – loves spending time at home. I can admit at times I have felt the intensity of the different frequencies vibrating in the collective, resulting to waves of feeling overwhelmed, and on a few occasions feeling slightly bored and questioning my sanity.
It was the most recent episode of boredom that hit me the other day. No matter how I tried to occupy myself, the sensation of boredom would not shift. I was unable to flow. That is when it dawned on me. I needed to switch things up.
Throughout most of this lockdown, I have spent most of my days working on myself, trying to get my son to hang out with me (apparently he is just too cool to do so), working on Lunar Phaze, reading, researching and it has honestly been amazing, BUT what I had forgot to do was give myself a break on all levels: mind, body and soul.
I had forgot to allow myself to just sit in the stillness and be.
It really is in those moments, when we truly take a break from life and listen, we are gifted with being able to engage in a conversation with the universe. We are gifted with receiving answers, which at times can result to creativity and even bring peace and clarity.
My mindset needed a reboot.
Like, Mother Gaia who has been going through a massive reboot to help us humans wake the fuck up. I decided I also needed to declutter. I needed to travel further in but start off with becoming more aware of the words that I speak, the words that I think, the words that I feel. As they simply help with creating the reality that I am living.
I decided to ask myself – AM I really bored? What is boredom?
Of course, Wikipedia summed this up for me:
“Boredom is an emotional and occasionally psychological state experienced when an individual is left without anything in particular to do, is not interested in their surroundings, or feels that a day, or period is dull or tedious” – Wikipedia.Well Thank You, Wikipedia
Further research also pointed out that boredom pushes us to seek new experiences and that we really should not be confused by it.
The above information made me ponder even more and helped me to understand that in moments when I am feeling “bored”, I am simply not in the now. My mind is elsewhere. Caught up, down memory lane or overthinking about the future and lacking gratitude for everything that I have. This realisation reminded me of how lucky I am and that I need to embrace being bored instead of resisting that emotional feeling.
I uttered these words to myself out loud and internally:
“I will surrender to boredom and trust in the process. I trust that boredom will create magic and fuel my soul”.
Unplug and Reset
Having an episode of boredom is not necessarily a bad thing as it gave me the kick up the arse that I needed and helped to switch the creativity bulb back on.
So, if you are bored, see it as an opportunity to tap in, unplug and reset. Release the word “BORED”, and, any low vibrational attachments that may be associated with that word. See it as sign from the universe to come back to the now, switch things up, get creative and discover another aspect of yourself.
Here are some ways you can release boredom and feed your soul by getting creative:
- Go on an adventure, whether that be externally or internally.
- Creating a vision board
- Jewellery making
- Furniture painting
What is your creative outlet and how do you raise your frequency when boredom comes knocking on your door?
Brightest blessings, Larisha xoxo
